{"id":33,"date":"2006-03-06T12:53:25","date_gmt":"2006-03-06T10:53:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/frontpoint-sport.com\/?p=33"},"modified":"2006-04-08T12:12:12","modified_gmt":"2006-04-08T10:12:12","slug":"sun-snow-in-austria","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/frontpoint-sport.com\/?p=33","title":{"rendered":"Sun &#038; Snow in Austria"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">Last week I had the pleasure of being and skiing at <a target=\"_blank\" title=\"St. Anton\" href=\"http:\/\/www.stantonamarlberg.com\/\">St. Anton<\/a> in the <\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">Arlberg<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\"> <\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">valley<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\"> of <\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">Austria<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">. <\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">Austria<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\"> and the eastern part of the <\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">Alps<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\"> have lots of snow right now. During my visit we had about 35cm of new snow. So it is important to take care when you go off-piste since the danger of avalanches is quite high at the moment. On Sunday morning the snow level was meassured at 216cm at an altitude of about 2000 meters.  <\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"middle\" alt=\"Lavinefare\" title=\"Lavinefare\" src=\"http:\/\/frontpoint-sport.com\/images\/lavinefare.jpg\" \/><\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">Fortunately we also had some fine sunny days last week that provided great powder conditions. The resort of <a title=\"St. Anton\" href=\"http:\/\/www.stantonamarlberg.com\/\">St. Anton<\/a> has a good concept of creating marked off-piste ski runs. These runs are not groomed or patrolled, but they are fairly safe from avalanches if you stay within range of the trail markers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\" \/><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\"><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"bottom\" alt=\"skitour\" title=\"skitour\" src=\"http:\/\/frontpoint-sport.com\/images\/skirute.jpg\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana\">This is a  fine safe ski concept.
